Affiliate and Advertising Disclosure
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This page explains how arteamente.it makes money, and how that affects what you read here. We publish it because you are entitled to know, and because the United States Federal Trade Commission requires it under its Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). Canada’s Competition Act imposes comparable obligations on material connections that are not disclosed.
The Site is published by Light S.r.l.s., VAT number 03770130195, Italy.
Contents
1. The short version
Some links on this Site earn us a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. We also display advertising, and we are paid for it. We are not a broker, a lender, an insurance agency, or a law firm, we are not paid to refer you as a client to any of them, and we do not sell your information as a lead. Nothing you buy through this Site costs you more because you came from here.
2. Affiliate links and commissions
Some of the links on this Site are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy something, the merchant may pay us a commission out of its own margin. You pay exactly the price you would have paid had you gone to the merchant directly. If a discount is available through our link, we say so and the price you pay is lower, never higher.
We currently participate in the following programmes: the Amazon Associates Program, and affiliate or partner programmes operated by the software vendors we review. Where an article links to a product under a programme not named here, the disclosure at the top of that article says so.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
An affiliate link works by setting a cookie on the merchant’s site that lets it attribute a later purchase to us. We receive aggregated reports only: we are told that a purchase happened, not who you are or what else you bought. These cookies are set only after you have consented through our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy.
3. Advertising
We display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners, and we are paid when those advertisements are displayed or clicked.
We do not choose which specific advertisements appear on a page. They are selected automatically, and an advertisement appearing next to an article is not an endorsement of the advertiser by us, is not a recommendation, and does not mean we have checked the advertiser. This matters particularly in our Insurance and Finance categories, where advertisements for lenders, carriers, and brokers are common and are placed by Google, not by us.
You can control the advertising you see through the options listed in our Cookie Policy and at Your Privacy Choices.
4. Our own products
Where we sell our own digital products, we make money directly from them. When an article recommends something we sell, we say so plainly in that article, in the same place and the same size as any other disclosure. Payments are processed by PayPal, and the terms are in our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
5. Why we cover these subjects
We write about business insurance, business finance, business law, human resources, and business software. Advertising rates in these categories are among the highest on the internet, and affiliate commissions on business software can be substantial. That is a real reason these subjects are covered here rather than others, and you should know it when you read us.
Knowing why a subject is covered is different from knowing whether the coverage is honest. We think you are better placed to judge the second if we are candid about the first. What it does not change is the substance of what we say about any individual product, carrier, or approach.
6. How money does and does not affect our content
- We recommend a product only when we would recommend it to someone who could not pay us anything.
- We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive review, a ranking position, or a link, and we do not sell placement in a comparison.
- Commission rates do not determine the order in which products appear. Where a higher-paying product is not the best fit, we say so.
- We include products that pay us nothing, and free or open-source options, when they are the right answer.
- If a company gives us free access to a product for testing, we say so in the article. Free access buys testing, not a favourable conclusion.
- Advertisers have no right of review, no advance sight of articles, and no influence over editorial decisions.
- We do not remove or soften criticism of a company because it advertises with us or runs an affiliate programme we belong to.
Our full approach to sourcing, review, and corrections is in our Editorial Policy.
7. What we are not, and what we do not do with your data
We are not a broker, a lender, an insurance agency or producer, a law firm, an accounting firm, a payroll provider, or a registered investment adviser, and we are not licensed or registered with any United States or Canadian regulator. See our Disclaimer.
We do not receive commissions from insurance carriers, lenders, or law firms for referring you as a client, and we do not operate as a lead generator. We do not collect your details in order to sell them to a carrier, a broker, or a lender, and we do not pass your information to any of them. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the arrangement begins, and the change will be stated at the top of it.
8. How disclosure appears on individual articles
The FTC requires that a disclosure be clear, conspicuous, and placed where a reader will see it before acting on the recommendation. On this Site that means:
- a short disclosure at the top of the article, before the first affiliate link and visible without scrolling;
- never hidden behind a “more” link, a tooltip, or a collapsed section, and never only at the foot of the page;
- in the same typeface and a readable size, not in small grey print;
- repeated next to a comparison table or a product box where the top-of-page disclosure is far above it;
- stated in the text itself, not only in a page footer, so that it survives when the article is read on a phone or in a reader view.
If you find an article with affiliate links and no disclosure, that is a mistake on our part. Tell us and we will fix it.
9. Questions
Write to us if you want to know whether a specific link is an affiliate link, whether we were paid in connection with a specific article, or whether we tested a product ourselves. We will tell you.
