Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Arteamente is committed to making arteamente.it usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, magnification, speech input, or keyboard-only navigation.
We publish guidance on business insurance, finance, employment, and management — subjects people read because they have a decision to make. Content of that kind is worth little if part of the audience cannot get to it.
Contents
1. The standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the reference standard used under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act in the United States, and under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, the Accessible Canada Act, and comparable provincial legislation in Canada.
As a European company we also work to the European Accessibility Act and to the EN 301 549 standard, which builds on the same WCAG criteria.
2. How conformant we are
We consider this Site partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means most of it meets the standard, and some parts do not yet. Section 4 lists what we know is outstanding.
We say partially rather than fully because we have not had the Site audited by an independent specialist, and because parts of any page are served by third parties we do not control. We would rather state this plainly than claim a level of conformance we cannot demonstrate.
3. What we have done
- Text alternatives for images that carry meaning, including charts and comparison graphics, with the substance of the image described in the surrounding text rather than only in the alt attribute.
- Headings in a logical order, so that screen reader users can navigate a long article by its structure rather than reading it end to end.
- Colour contrast meeting the minimum ratios for body text, headings, and interface elements, and never using colour alone to convey meaning — a distinction shown by colour in a comparison table is also shown in words.
- Keyboard access to all navigation, links, forms, checkout, and the subscriber area, with a visible focus indicator.
- Forms with visible labels, and error messages that identify the field and are announced to assistive technology.
- A responsive layout that remains usable when text is enlarged to two hundred per cent, without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
- Data tables marked up as tables, with header cells identified, so that comparison tables can be read cell by cell in context rather than as a run of unlabelled numbers.
- Descriptive link text, so that a link read out of context says where it goes instead of “click here” or “read more”.
4. Known limitations
We know about the following and are working on them.
- Advertising. Advertisements are served by third parties and we do not control their markup, their contrast, or their behaviour. Some may not meet the standard.
- Embedded third-party content, such as videos, forms, and social media posts, may not be fully accessible.
- The cookie consent banner is provided by a third party, and its keyboard and screen reader behaviour depends on that provider.
- Older articles may contain images without adequate text alternatives, or tables that were not marked up correctly. We are working through the archive.
- Complex comparison tables with many columns are difficult to follow on a small screen with a screen reader, even when marked up correctly. Where this affects a table you need, ask us and we will send you the content in a simpler format.
5. Ebooks and downloadable files
We aim to supply our ebooks and guides in accessible formats, with tagged structure, real text rather than images of text, and a logical reading order. Where a file we supply is not accessible to you, tell us and we will provide the same content in a format you can use — plain text, HTML, or a tagged document — at no additional cost and without your having to buy anything twice.
6. Tell us about a barrier
If you encounter a barrier on this Site, please tell us. Describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. Write to info@arteamente.it.
We aim to reply within five business days and to fix reported problems as quickly as we can. If a fix will take time, we will tell you how long and give you the content another way in the meantime. If you need information from this Site in an alternative format, ask and we will provide it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, tell us and we will look at it again. In the United States you may also contact the Department of Justice; in Canada, the relevant provincial accessibility authority or the Accessibility Commissioner.
7. How this statement was prepared
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by us on [DATE OF ASSESSMENT], using automated testing tools together with manual keyboard and screen reader checks. It has not been reviewed by an independent auditor.
We review this statement at least once a year, and whenever we make a substantial change to the design of the Site or add a new function such as a checkout or a subscriber area.
